What makes a “good composition” in photography?
Good composition integrates visual harmony with story to create photography that’s not just pleasing to the eye but also carries depth and meaning.
Visual Harmony
This includes the balance and symmetry in your photos which create a harmonious and intruiging look.
Photos with visual harmony usually make use of photography methods and principles, such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, frames within frames, color contrast, depth of field and more.
Story
An image with “good composition” also relays a story, one where the photographer was able to capture a sense of emotion.
