A Day with Livio Ricciardi: in Milan with the Lomo'Instant Automat Glass
Share TweetTo celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Lomo’Instant family we’ve sent some of our instant cameras off on their own adventures. In this article series, a selection of LomoAmigos take us into their unique worlds and show us a day in their lives through the magic of instant photography. Today we’re spending a day with Livio Ricciardi, Italian sex positive popularizer and sex counselor.
Livio takes us with him on his day in Milan with the Lomo'Instant Automat Glass Magellan and shares with us some of the most special moments by capturing them on instant film. See his photos below, accompanied by his words!

The following words are written by Livio Ricciardi.
I get up with not much sleep around my eyes, but with the train to Milan sufficiently ahead to be able to take coffee, some vitamins, take a shower, and pack my suitcase quite serenely. In the minutes of doldrums before leaving home I take this selfie, look at it and realize that a power nap is needed on the train.

I step out of the house and luckily there is a lot of sunshine, I remind myself that the relationship between light exposure and mood tone is directly proportional, that spring, although struggling, has arrived. So I shoot, hoping for similar weather in Milan.

I arrive unusually on time at the studio to record an episode of my podcast. The room is colorful and both the place and recording always make me quite happy.

After the episode and a few work calls, I sip an ice coffee and smoke, feel the fatigue coming on, and I see this writing on a billboard. I like it. I agree, Milan is a little cringe. It embarrasses, intrigues and gives a certain sense of the bizarre that is almost pleasantly addictive.

When I am in Milan, I lean on Carlo and Andrea's house. This is Carlo and Viola, a couple. You can really feel their love in the air, and in a moment of co-partnership and couch conviviality they were scrolling through social media together, hugging. I find it an intimate and connective act.

Cecilia and Greta are two friends from Milan whom I really cherish: our relationship is based on the sharing of explicit parties and lunches where we talk mostly about emotional life along a continuum from the somewhat gossipy to the profound, where we give each other rather epiphanic perspectives and readings.

Nicola held a few hours of sets and got so many people dancing in the Est Bar. It created an energy full of smiles on a midweek evening, and I think for people living in Milan, that is a great gift.

Via Padova at five o'clock in the morning. I was waiting for a cab after a party where photos can't be taken but you can live undressed, sincere, under the influence and never tired.
