I'm starting this new album about the philosopher's path, one of my most beautiful walking experiences in Kyoto. I was afraid there would be too many people, but that wasn't the case - perhaps because this part of Kyoto requires a minimum of effort to explore, for you can't get around in a tourist's coach, and there aren't any shopping opportunities there!
As a result, Ginkaku-ji was almost only for us, and along the path, we only met about 12 people... we were able to explore the side streets and visit some temples and shrines further away, almost in nature. How far away the big city seemed... a real joy.
